WedSpark is a private social platform for wedding guests. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to handling your data transparently and responsibly.

2. What We Collect

When you use WedSpark, we collect:

  • Your name and email address (via Google login)
  • Your display name and profile photo (if provided)
  • Your date of birth (only to verify you are 18+)
  • Messages you send in the General Hub or private chats
  • Your Spark profile information (if you opt in)
  • Basic usage data such as last active time

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to:

  • Authenticate your identity and allow you to join events
  • Display your profile to other guests within the same event
  • Enable chat functionality within the event
  • Facilitate the Spark matching feature (only if you opt in)

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. What We Never Share

  • Your email address is never visible to other guests
  • Your full date of birth is never shown to other users
  • Your private messages are only visible to participants
  • Your Spark activity is never shown outside the event

5. Data Retention

WedSpark is built to be temporary. After the event expires, all user profiles, messages, matches, and Spark activity associated with that event are permanently deleted. We do not retain this data beyond the event lifecycle.

6. Data Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase (hosted on AWS) as our database provider, which complies with SOC 2 and other security standards.

7. Google Login

We use Google OAuth for authentication. We only receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not access your Google contacts, Drive, or any other Google services.

8. Your Rights

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.
